El Rincón de Marcos restaurant is a temple dedicated to watercress, located in Firgas, in the north of Gran Canaria. This simple, almost rustic establishment focuses on fresh, high-quality, and locally sourced ingredients. At El Rincón de Marcos, you can try a variety of dishes featuring watercress as the star ingredient. Think croquettes, salads, stews, chicken in watercress sauce, and even watercress custard for dessert. Ropa vieja (shredded beef stew) and marinated pork are other delicious options. El Rincón de Marcos also offers local products such as Aunt Claudina's jam, cheeses from Quesería Artesana Pedrín, and El Prado cider. This restaurant was born from the vision of Marcos Ramírez, who, combining his passion for food with a desire to stand out in a saturated market, chose watercress, a typical product of Firgas, as the specialty for his establishment. El Rincón de Marcos opened its doors on July 15, 2015, with two employees and a capacity of just 20 people. Thanks to its customers, it has evolved and grown to become one of the leading restaurants in the area, always maintaining its commitment to quality and friendly service. Today, it has two locations: the original in Firgas and a second restaurant in Teror, opposite the Osorio Estate. We cannot conclude without thanking all our customers for their trust over the years and inviting everyone who hasn't yet discovered us to visit and try our dishes.
